As an Inside Sales Representative at BetterUp, you will partner with sales leaders and Account Executives across our various segments (Emerging Enterprise, Enterprise, and Global Accounts Partners) to identify and target high-value prospects and partners. With an account-based approach, you'll build new pipeline through both outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification. You'll be a master of multi-threading into accounts, conducting initial qualification and discovery calls, and generating interest through various outreach methods - from calls and emails to videos and social media. To succeed in this role and help drive BetterUp's GTM strategy, you'll need extreme ownership and a passion for cultivating long-term customer relationships. What you’ll do:

  • Clearly articulate and demonstrate the compelling BetterUp value proposition to create excitement and enthusiasm among prospects

  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline quotas set by leadership 

  • Leverage Sales Development best practices to drive enterprise pipeline and revenue for our Account Executive team

  • Map out target accounts and their ideal buyers using LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Find and verify prospect's contact information using ZoomInfo and other resources

  • Manage tasks, run campaigns, and make daily outbound calls using Outreach.io

  • Develop hypotheses for your target accounts through account and industry research to understand how their needs map back to BetterUp’s value proposition 

  • Engage in VP & C-Level conversations with our target audience to set up introductory discovery calls

  • Conduct initial qualification and discovery calls to pass qualified opportunities to our Account Executive team

  • Partner and strategize with Account Executives to follow up with prospects to drive opportunities through all stages of the funnel to closed-won

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • You have 1+ years of relevant SaaS sales experience (selling to HR is a plus)

  • You have experience with outbound prospecting to enterprise-level accounts

  • You have a track record of exceeding quota in previous sales roles (top 10% of your org)

  • You can communicate clearly and effectively with Senior level buyers both over the phone and email

  • You’re exceptional with discovery, objection handling, and active listening 

  • You welcome change, stay agile, and are adaptable to shifting priorities

  • You demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills when managing leads and pipeline, and you are proficient in using Salesforce, maintaining precise records, and promptly following up with leads. 

  • You have a track record of working collaboratively with other internal stakeholders

  • You have the ability to adapt and learn new technologies (Salesforce, Outreach, Chorus a plus)  

  • You’re able to adapt to changing situations quickly. This includes pivoting your approach based on customer feedback and market trends.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $19 – $30 hourly. 

If you live in New York, the hourly base salary range for this role is:  $21 – $30 : New York City $20 – $28 : Nassau, Newburgh $19 – $26 : Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse
