We are looking for a data-driven person that is interested in applying your knowledge in analysis, data mining, and modeling to a wide range of business-related studies helping to bridge the gap between product and technology. In this role, you would work closely with different cross-functional teams responsible for the new initiatives to improve Spokeo offerings. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you would be tasked with challenging questions and data discovery studies that would guide the direction of the projects.

 

Deliverables, including estimated time of how much of an average week is spent doing each item - this is subject to change:

  • 25% - Drive informed and timely decision-making that improves and optimizes the way our products are created, executed, and adopted.

  • 20% - Collaborate with product and engineering to utilize data to support product initiatives and corporate strategy.

  • 15% - Create automated anomaly detection systems and quality assurance metrics to constantly track performance.

  • 15% - Communicate best practices in quantitative analysis and develop cross-functional partnerships.

  • 15% - Perform Ad-hoc analysis and present results.

  • 10% - Keep up to date with the latest technology trend to apply them to our business challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your quantitative training and qualitative business sense to look beyond the numbers and formulate recommendations.

  • Interact, partner and influence business teams to identify opportunities, problems or trends.

  • Design and monitor KPI metrics and experimentation studies.

  • Influence product owners via data, discussions, presentations, and good communication.

  • Promote data-driven decision-making.

  • Data exploration, profiling, quality assessments, transformation, and best practices.

  • Create data reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

 

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Math, Engineering, Statistics or other quantitative fields.

  • 5+ years with quantitative research, analysis, and statistical modeling.

  • 3+ years experience with SQL and Python.

  • Experience with statistical or mathematical software like Pandas, R, Matlab, SAS, etc.

  • Experience with visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc).

  • Comfortable with incomplete information and minimal guidance.

  • Ability to communicate results or concepts in simple terms to wide-range of audience.

  • Willing to speak the truth and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
