We are hiring for IBM/HCL WebSphere Commerce Architect role for one of clients who is a big player in retail industry based in Melbourne. As a WebSphere Commerce Architect, you will focus on delivering feature and functionality enhancement. You will be responsible for requirement gathering, developing & testing HCL related enhancements.

This is a Remote Full-time Permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and supporting eCommerce capabilities across global stores;
• Support end-to-end application testing, understanding of integrations to ERP systems, advising on data loads processes, and adhering to code management activities within an agile framework;
• Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must be able to document and demonstrate technical solutions by developing documentation, diagrams, code comments, etc.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis and take appropriate action to remediate issues

Essential Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of Version 8, Aurora and experience with adding freight/delivery providers and working with payment plugins.
• Proven experience in HCL Commerce experience preferably in version 8 & above.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in J2EE based applications.
• JSPs, Servlets, Enterprise Java Beans, Java, SQL, JQuery, CSS, REST.
• Demonstrated ability with HTML, JavaScript, SOAP, Web Services and XML.
• Proven ability to develop clear and concise documentation.
• Ability to understand business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and solutions.
• Ability to identify and recommend improvements to business functions.
• Able to apply problem-solving techniques.
