Digital and eCommerce is at the core of what we do at Pep Boys. Our customers, who know Pep Boys as a leading provider of automotive service, are demanding richer digital experiences to complement the automotive repair services we provide. The SAP Commerce Cloud senior developer will be a critical part of our team responsible for building new functionality in SAP Hybris Commerce Cloud and managing technology project initiatives. The SAP CC senior developer is responsible for technical assessments, design, prototypes, build and leading development of technology projects for PepBoys.com. They will also be involved in collaborating with offshore, onsite technical and Quality Assurance teams to support digital experience business needs.
This role will work in close collaboration with eCommerce, IT, Marketing, Development, External Agencies, Service Operations, and other key project stakeholders. The role also has a potential to grow into Commerce Cloud Architect and Team Lead role as we build Next Gen solutions for Pep Boy’s digital platforms.
This individual will facilitate and coordinate with various departments in providing a best-in-class eCommerce experience for our multichannel customers, finding resolutions, and proactively problem-solving for any onsite or system issues. This individual would support defining, designing, and implementing future digital customer experiences for the Pep Boys eCommerce business. Success in this role means having a pulse on what the competition is doing, insight into best digital practices, and confidence to dig in and make a positive impact quickly.

Duties & Responsibilities

Participate, guide, and contribute to eCommerce requirements, solution design and agile development processDevelop new functionality for the eCommerce website, manage code quality, scope and risksReview and modify code for peer reviewReview design and plan with Functional team, align on delivery executionDevelop expertise in Pep Boys technical solutions as the go to on-site technical resourceManage the workload of the development and support teamsReview issues identified in Production, Prioritize, Story Point and escalate with SAP or internal teamsManage Production releases by having the cut over plan, support team coverage and other deployment activitiesWork with other technical teams (Store System, Enterprise and Vendors) on integrated solutionsBuild and manage integrations of the eCommerce solution with other supporting applicationsBuild and manage data loads in and out of the eCommerce solution Collaborate with the external technical teams in building and maintaining IT solutions and its integrationsAnalyze logs, dashboards and other reports to proactively identify issues and to resolve known issues
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Experience And Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. 5+ years SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris Commerce development experience with at least 2 years as senior developerOverall 7+ years of eCommerce and / or cloud environment experience Strong understanding of Hybris architecture, development methodologies, and best practicesExperience with Java, Spring, and other related technologiesExperience with Hybris Commerce Cloud v2, Solr, Hybris B2B accelerator, Hybris Core, Hybris Back office, WCMS, Smart Edit, add-ons, and customizationsExperience with source code management tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket
